🚤 Two places to join, two places to get off
Staying in Cat Ba Town? Join at Ben Beo Harbour at 09:00. The boat crosses to Viet Hai, picks up the rest of the group, and you are back at Ben Beo at around 16:30.
Staying with us in Viet Hai? The golf cart collects you at Lan Homestay at 09:30 and brings you back to the village at 15:30 — no harbour transfers, no packing up.
Moving on the same day. Getting off at Ben Beo at 16:30 leaves you time for the 17:00 bus to Hanoi — 350,000₫ (≈$14) per person. Tell us the morning of the tour at the latest and we will hold your seat. If you would rather not rush it, the 12:30 bus the next day runs to Hanoi or Ninh Binh at the same fare; for Sapa, Ha Giang or Noi Bai Airport, message us for a quote.
Coming from Hanoi for this tour? You cannot make the 09:00 departure on a same-morning bus — come over the day before on the 06:00 or 07:30 departure from the Old Quarter, 350,000₫ (≈$14) per person.

| When it runs | Every day the water is open, 09:00 to 15:30 from Viet Hai pier. Tell us the night before and that is usually enough — in July, August and around Vietnamese holidays, book further ahead. |
| What it costs | Rates move with the season and the size of the group, so we quote per booking rather than print a price that goes stale. Ask and we send the current one, with what is included and what is paid at the gate. |
| Fixed state fees | Lan Ha Bay ticket 120,000 VND (≈$5) adult / 60,000 VND (≈$2.40) child · electric cart between the pier and the house 50,000 VND (≈$2) per person each way. The same for everyone, set by the state. |

| If the weather turns | We do not sail when the harbour master closes the water. A cancelled trip is moved to the next clear day or refunded — we never run a boat we would not put our own family on. |
